Comment: Former Nereide. Has the same hull that the Lapérouse class ships. Classified as Mine Countermeasure War Experimental Ship. It is operated by the Mine Warfare Center for Studies, Instruction and Training, at Brest. It was renamed to avoid confussions with Y700. Equipped for trials and testing of all classes of submarine weapons and sensors. Can also be used as a minelayer. Can accomodate six divers. Equipped with the combat system that Thomson Sintra designed for the Narvik ( which was cancelled ).
