Comment: During Operation Desert Storm, on 18th February 1991, the USS Princeton got struck by two mines while patrolling off Failaka Island, resulting in three injured crewmembers and severe damage to starboard propeller, port rudder, and hull. USS Princeton was moved to Bahrain, and Dubai afterwards, for repairs, and transited back to US mainland two months later for additional repairs.
