Comment: ex - Bar Protector, ex - Stena Protector. Launched in 1981. Built as an oilfield support ship and chartered during the Falklands War. Purchased in 1983. Capable of being used for fire fighting, towing, and salvage. Has also been used as a submarine tender, and as a mine countermeasures support ship. Ice strengthened hull. Refitted in 1999.
