Comment: They have been fitted with a Syracuse SATCOM communications set. It is waiting for EW equipment, ECM and ESM, in order to compensate for the low anti-aircraft defense of the ship. The Marne has been designed to carry a Maritime Zone staff or Commander of a Logistic Formation and a commando unit of up to 45 men. The position of the bridge and the localization of other elements in this unit differs from others of the same class.
