Comment: Ex - Kbv 171. Former Swedish Coast Guard Class "A" cutter purchased 28/9/1998 for use as a general-purpose tender, training craft, and fisheries patrol craft; transferred 9-10-98 and commissioned in Belgian Navy 13-10-98. Was originally launched on 11-79, and entered service on Swedish Navy on 3rd September 1980. Will also be used in mine countermeasures system trials. The glass-reinforced plastic sandwich hull had been lengthened by 6 m in 1981. Has helicopter platform, bow-thruster, a firefighting monitor, and Roll-Nix rudder roll-control system. The Simrad Subsea sonar was removed prior to transfer.
